The John A. DeQuattro Cancer Center has received a three year accreditation for meeting quality care standards and maintaining levels of excellence in the delivery of comprehensive patient care.
If you or a loved one is diagnosed with cancer, you may face an overwhelming level of information and decisions you have to make. These stressful tasks drain energy that should be focused on treatment and recovery, therefore we provide free Patient Navigators to help you with many of the challenges that you face and act as advocates for you and your family.
Nurse Navigation
Our Nurse Navigators are available to help you navigate through your specific care plan and the healthcare system experience. They can assist you, your loved ones and caregivers in finding support and resources you need, including:
- Coordinating care
- Getting a second opinion
- Managing symptoms
- Referrals for home care services
- Scheduling tests and treatment
Oncology Social Work Navigation
Oncology Social Work Navigators are available free of charge to meet with you, your loved ones and/or caregivers to provide advocacy and help with your emotional or financial support. Survivorship Navigators can meet with you discuss:
- Assistance in locating resources to help you with finances, disability, medical insurance, advance directives and post-treatment survivorship care planning
- Freedom From Smoking
- Supportive counseling
Breast Care Collaborative
ECHN’s Breast Care Collaborative (BCC) is a diverse network of specialists dedicated to empowering you with the knowledge and support you need to receive the best breast care. A proud member of the National Consortium of Breast Centers, BCC provides patients with breast health resources, education, testing and treatments. With the support of a dedicated Women’s Health Nurse Navigator, you have access to a team of the best radiologists, surgeons, pathologists, and medical and radiation oncologists who specialize in breast disease and wellness. Whether you need help setting up an appointment, have questions about your test results, or just need someone to talk to, we’re here for you.
