Adolescent Outpatient Services
Our adolescent outpatient services are available to adolescents (ages 12-18) in need of non-emergency behavioral healthcare, by appointment only, at Manchester Memorial Hospital and Rockville General Hospital.
Our adolescent outpatient services provide treatment programs, therapy and specialized groups. We welcome and support family/caregiver involvement in your child’s treatment and work with community providers, pediatricians, schools and other service providers involved with your child.
We offer specialized Dialectical Behavior Therapy/Trauma Informed services for the following adolescent conditions:
- Anxiety
- Attention Deficit and ADHD disorders
- Autism related disorders
- Bipolar Disorder
- Depression
- Grief and loss
- Family therapy
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Substance abuse

Adult Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services
ECHN’s Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services is comprised of a team of clinicians who will complete a comprehensive assessment and talk with you about our services and available programs. Together, we will develop an individualized care plan designed to improve your well-being.
Our adult outpatient mental health and substance abuse services provide treatment programs, individual therapy, specialized group therapies and family and couples counseling. Our specialized program aim to treat the following conditions:
- Addictions including Suboxone® and Medication Assisted Treatment
- Bipolar Depression
- Depression
- Eating Disorders
- Geriatric / Older Adult
- Grief and loss
- Marriage and family counseling
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Schizophrenia
Adults in need of Partial Hospital Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services are seen through Open Access.
Open Access
Open Access, also known as walk-in behavioral health services, is a model of care in whic patients receive behavioral health intakes on a walk-in basis.
For a new patient intake assessment, please arrice Monday - Friday between 7:45 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. at our 150 North Main Street office in Manchester.
What to Expect:
- At 8:00am, a clinician will discuss the outpatient behavioral health services offered at ECHN which include Partial Hospital Program, Intensive Outpatient, medication management, individual and group therapy.
- If an individual needs services not offered at ECHN, referrals will be provided.
- Patients receiving medication management are required to also participate in therapy.
- ECHN does not offer one time assessments, intakes are the start of treatment.
- Patient registration will be completed.
- The first step of the intake process includes a biopsychosocial assessment completed with an intake clinician. This will include a mental status exam, history and urine toxicology screen.
- The next step is a comprehensive assessment completed with a psychiatrist or APRN.
- The psychiatrist/APRN and the new patient will develop an initial plan of care.
- The next appointment will be scheduled.
This comprehensive assessment process takes 2-4 hours and is completed in a single appointment.
Open Access has limited intake slots and is completed on a first come, first served basis. Any intakes that cannot be accommodated can return for the next open access session.
